MIRACLE IN CELL NO:07
I don't remember when I cried last, not because of my memories cut down somewhere else, but because my heart never reached there. But, today I cried a lot revenging all of it, because of a Turkish film named as MIRACLE. And just warning not to waste the status by watching it in public.
Didn't heard of Dupe beating Orginal, the same pleasure is given to the people by the movie "The miracle in the cell No. 17. This about Mahmud Ada Osthuk's "The Miracle" which is outlined from Korean film "The Muse". If Muse is a comic drama, Miracle is an emotional one. Intellectual brilliance of Mahmud Ada Osthuk who gave its output which is unbelievable that this film is inspired from "The Muse"
The film which was nominated for the 93rd Turkish Oscar Award, had become one of the popular hit movies in 2019. This Movie tells the story of love between mentally handicapped Memo who lives in Southwestern border of Turkey in 1983 and between his daughter Ova.
Actually Ostukin's intention was the demolition of the judicial system in the world at that time. Memo was accused of killing a child who fall in the river and he took her to the shore (something no rasam). It accurately depicts the mood of common man who can't even prove his innocence because the deceased child was daughter of an Army Chief Commander.
This remaked film became more popular among the people because of its emotional touching story.
It should be said that Osthukin had worked very well to make it an authentic story more than the fictional one. Thats why I had felt that the similar scenes from "The Green Mile" of Frank Darobond had came in "Miracle" also.
Though both stories are different, Memo suffers the same character that John Coffee suffers for failing to prove his innocence in "The Green Mile".
According to the principles of Aristotle the cause (reason) for the success was that both the mimosis and catharsis ideas were included in the film. When the classical cinemas are unveiled within the framework of Aristotle's dramatic understandings, the real life is imitated and reconstructed through the reflection. A film become successful when the audiences feel that it is self life touching while producing a film through the characters. That success was got to the Ostukin through the father Memo and the daughter Ova. The audiences who cry and laugh with the character(kathapathram) throughout the story when the illegal prosecution came upon Memo and when they try to sole it legally the principle of catharsis succeeds
Success of localisation
In the Movie "The Miracle" Osthukin tries to portray a teacher as a companion for Ova when Memo goes to the Joil. That was the first local character. Some of the fundamental effects (impacts) made on the film in the name of localisation had increased the rating and deepened the climax of the story.Another notable mistake of localisation was in the occasion. Also the story ends with hope, without leaving any curiosity in the audiences like other stories and the audiences see that the Memo's life was saved through some illegal ways. Alhough the happy end evokes the catharsis sense in the audiences, there includes some logical mistakes. In the real life, no possible for such an end, and also its contrary.
When asked what "The Miracle" tells us, the rights of a common man over a sovereignty are just rubbish. When everyone change that though together, then we can say that all are free
